Today we learnt that Jesus is our substitute! Pilate wanted to release Jesus, because he had done nothing wrong. But the crowds shouted for Barabas to be released. When Pilate asked them what he should do with Jesus, they shouted out "Crucify him!". Jesus died on the cross. This was really sad news. But there is good news! Jesus died for us. Jesus paid the price for all our mistakes. This means that we can be friends with God again, even though we've made mistakes.
